PRIVATE NUMBER PLATE MAKER LTDWhere Precision Meets Personality

Proudly Based in the UK • DVLA-Compliant • Fast, Friendly, Fully Transparent

Welcome

Hi there - we are Private Number Plate Maker, and we’re thrilled you’ve found us.

Launched just over a year ago, we set out with a simple mission: to make buying high-quality, road-legal personalised number plates straightforward, reliable, and even - dare we say - enjoyable.

In that short time, we’ve proudly served 4,600+ customers across the UK - from classic car enthusiasts in Cornwall to EV owners in Edinburgh. Many first discovered us through platforms like eBay and Shopify, and today more customers are coming directly to plate-maker.co.uk - a trust we value deeply.

Why We Do What We Do

Number plates aren’t just metal and acrylic - they’re the first detail people notice. They reflect your style, your story, and your attention to the rules of the road.

Every plate we make follows three core principles:

✅ Compliance First

We are a DVLA-registered number plate supplier. Road-use products must meet the applicable legal requirements.

✅ Crafted, Not Cut-and-Paste

From 3D gel to 4D plates, short plates, and replacements - each plate is made to order using premium-grade acrylic, laser precision cutting, and hand-finished QC.

✅ Clarity Over Cleverness

• No hidden fees
• No vague delivery promises
• No pressure - just honest, simple service

A Year of Growth - Fueled by Feedback

5-star reviews across platforms speak for themselves - and our customers shape how we improve.

• Faster dispatch: Orders with the required document checks completed before 2pm Monday–Friday are dispatched the same day, excluding bank holidays. Standard delivery is Royal Mail First Class, with an optional £2 upgrade to Tracked 24.
• More design control: Our new Plate Builder offers real-time previews and more fonts.
• Better peace of mind: For new orders, our manufacturing-defect warranty is six months for Standard, 3D Gel and 4D plates, and twelve months for 5D, Ghost and Bevel plates. Your statutory rights are unaffected. If your order was sold with a longer guarantee, that guarantee continues to apply to that order.

We’re still small enough to reply personally - yet structured enough to deliver consistency at scale.
